Window Tinting for Homes
Today’s home designs have evolved to incorporate our desire for more natural light, with the use of more glass. However, the increase in natural light comes with a downside – the amount of solar heat and glare coming in through the windows has increased.
Areas of your home may now be uncomfortable to be in. It may be too hot. Too bright. Your furniture, carpet and personal valuables will fade with the extra UV rays traveling in. The application of solar window film will not only maintain the natural light and crystal-clear views you are used to, but it will also reduce the problems associated with the solar energy that comes through the glass.
Whether installed on your home or outbuildings, window film will improve your experience within your residence. Once fitted the only maintenance required is normal window cleaning; being careful not to use anything that may scratch the glass.
Why Tint Your Home Windows?
Maximise your Privacy
The semi or fully reflective properties of our films work like Sunglasses for your windows. Giving you the confidence to feel comfortable in your home during the day knowing that people can’t look through your windows and see inside, whilst you can look out without restriction. Once applied you can remove those voiles and open your blinds and curtains.
Reduce Fading
Our films reduce fading by blocking 99% of the UV rays that are a major cause of fading. All too often the damage is done before you notice. With flooring, pictures, furniture, and any personal valuables in direct sunlight ending up discoloured and damaged. Applying window film greatly slows down the fading process.
Reduce Glare
Do you find yourself reaching for your sunglasses when sitting in your home? By installing window film, you we be able to put those shades away. Window film reduces glare by 75% to 81% depending which film is applied. So, removing the harshest of sunlight without it feeling dark.
Stay Cooler
Our films are designed to reject the heat of the Sun. By controlling the overall unwanted interior heat from the Sun, you will be able to use areas of your property that were previously just too hot to sit in.
Save Energy
All our solar films help reduce the amount of heat that enters your building through your glass, by rejecting solar heat. This can mean savings on your energy bills – You can reduce the use of a fan in the summer. Then in the cooler months, as the film acts as an addition layer of insulation on your glass, the film will help stop heat escaping as quickly through the windows.

Solar Silver.
This films metal construction offers modern, highly reflective silver shades that will not fade. With a solar energy rejection of 65% to 80%, it was primarily designed for commercial buildings, skylights, sunrooms and other areas where excessive heat and glare is unwanted.
The almost mirrored appearance works well on offices and commercial properties where the uniform appearance hides what’s inside that room.
Daylight Natural.
Daylight Natural is our premium tint that will not fade. It has a soft neutral colour shade that blends into rather than asserts itself onto your building. Daylight natural has a softer appearance than S.S, but still provides strong heat rejection, glare reduction and UV protection.
NightScape

Customer Stories
The Benefits of Tinting Your Windows At Home with 20% Daylight Natural Solar Film (comparison)
Reduced Glare and More Privacy
The rooms of this lovely south-facing apartment set in a wonderful south-facing position in Paignton, Devon were experiencing overheating, glare and fading due to the strength of the sunlight streaming through their windows on sunny days.
We fitted 20% Daylight Natural solar film to all the front-facing windows, rejecting 60% of the heat and providing much more privacy.
Before & After application of 20% film and 20% tint for a conservatory to reduce glare and provide the home owner more privacy.
Reduced Glare and More Privacy
The customer contacted us because her southwest facing conservatory was overheating and unbearably hot. The internal handles couldn't be touched on very hot days. The room was impossible to sit in without fully, ventilating the room first. They were also concerned with the level of fading they were experiencing on the floor and furnishings.
We visited the homeowner and we discussed tinting options to turn the conservatory back into a usable room in the summer. I demonstrated our films and we discussed the performance levels, appearance (externally and internally), benefits and limitations of the different tints and shades.
The customer decided to use SS20% film for the glass roof panels where performance is more important than appearance. Then they selected the more neutral toned Natural Daylight 20% film for the face of the conservatory and home. It rejects slightly less solar energy but has a more aesthetically pleasing and sympathetic appearance.
Final Outcome
By treating all of the glazing we blocked 99% of the damaging ultra-violet light from entering the conservatory - drastically reducing colour fading inside. Then by using two types of film on the conservatory we gave the customer a useable, cooler room, with an aesthetically pleasing finish.
